About Ben Macdui

Ben Macdui is the second highest mountain in the British Isles and the highest in the Cairngorms. At 1,309 meters, it offers spectacular views across the Cairngorm plateau.

History & Background

The mountain is named after the Clan MacDuff. For many years, it was thought to be higher than Ben Nevis. The summit is home to legends of the "Big Grey Man" or "Fear Liath Mòr", a supernatural presence said to haunt the mountain.
